Comedy Legend Live at Trafalgar Centre This November
One of the UK’s most beloved comedians is heading back to Nelson — and he’s bringing a full suitcase of musical instruments, sharp wit, and wonderfully odd stories. Bill Bailey will perform live at the Trafalgar Centre on Thursday 6 November 2025 as part of his brand-new Vaudevillean tour.
What Is the Vaudevillean Tour All About?
Before streaming, before telly, even before radio — there was Vaudeville. A colourful, chaotic mix of comedy, music, storytelling and showbiz oddities. And in Vaudevillean, Bill Bailey gives this classic form a 21st-century twist, complete with his trademark musical mashups and wonderfully bizarre observations.
Expect a night that’s equal parts stand-up comedy, concert, and theatrical spectacle. If you’ve seen Bill before, you’ll know not to expect the expected. If you haven’t — you’re in for a treat.
Don’t forget: Jimmy Carr is also coming to Nelson for his NZ 2025/26 Tour
Why See Bill Bailey Live in Nelson?
Bill Bailey’s last tour of New Zealand in 2023 completely sold out — and Nelson fans were begging for a return visit. He’s no stranger to our screens, with memorable appearances on QI, Black Books, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and even NZ’s own Patriot Brains. But it’s his live shows that really showcase his unique talents — from classical music played on a cowbell to multilingual rants about politics and pigeons.
“It’s a celebration of the weird, the wonderful, and the downright spectacular,” says Bill. “It’s all about entertaining the masses — with a few detours into the surreal.”
